Graduation Requirements
Commencement Ceremony
Commencement is held at the end of the fall, spring, and summer C (full-term) semesters. Candidates who are eligible for graduation will receive detailed instructions from the Office of Records and Registration for participating in the ceremony, including instructions on how to obtain guests tickets and UNF cap and gown. The number of guest tickets is based on the size of the graduating UNF student body and is subject to change in accordance with seating limitations of the event space.
Only students who have applied to graduate and are pre-certified as meeting degree requirements may participate in commencement ceremonies. Associate in Arts (AA) degree and certificate-only recipients are not eligible to participate in commencement ceremonies. Colleges and Departments may have separate specific certificate or other non-degree credential ceremonies.
For detailed information, refer to the Commencement webpage.
If a commencement ceremony is cancelled or rescheduled for any reason, the Office of Records and Registration will communicate pertinent details to those who are eligible to participate.
